- Our fall groups have now wrapped up (the last one ends this Friday, thanks to snow delays!)
- Students in an Identity and Choices-themed group worked with us on a fun building project (pictured above) before their winter break, and then created cards and letters of appreciation for the older adults in their group. ETA staff and volunteers delivered the cards and letters to delighted Springvale Terrace residents in person on a warm(ish) day in December. This group is looking forward to continuing with a new theme this winter!
- Students came up with an amazing variety of projects in our Civic Engagement themed groups at two other schools. Encouraged by the Crossing Paths adults to think creatively about addressing an issue that mattered to them, our teens rose to the occasion:
- advocating for repairs to a community basketball court,
- creating a system for students to be able to access band-aids in class rather than walk a long distance to the health room,
- polling peers on mental health resources awareness and organizing a resource fair at school
- and much more!
- Our winter groups are forming now! Contact us if you want to learn more or have fun and inspiring experiences along with us as a member of the Crossing Paths Volunteer Corps.
